KAILO ISA ÝR

I work with bodies, but I don’t treat them as surfaces.

I don’t separate technique from meaning.

Whether I’m tattooing I work from the same place: attention to the body, respect for the person, and the idea that what remains on you should have a reason to be there.

I’m not interested in doing more.

I’m interested in doing it right.

For years, my research has moved through history and prehistory, ancient symbolism, megalithic cultures and physics.

Marks scratched into rock walls and particle collisions are my home: driven by the need to understand the world, the forces that shape it, and how humanity has observed and interpreted them. My art grows from this exploration.

Tattooing becomes a language, symbols a form of knowledge, skin a space for expression and identity, and words become memory.

I do not separate what I study from what I create, or what I create from who I am.

I carry knowledge, doubts, contradictions, and a deep sense of humanity in a world that too often forgets the value of life itself.

I have no interest in presenting a more convenient version of myself.

What I do is who I am. And who I am is present in everything I do.
